FBI Arrests Protester: Unmarked Federal Vehicles Targeted, Documents Exposed (2026)

Protesters in North Minneapolis caused chaos Wednesday night, resulting in the arrest of a suspect by the FBI. The incident began with an ICE agent shooting a man in the leg, prompting a crowd of protesters to act. Dozens of protesters smashed into two parked, unmarked FBI vehicles, forcibly ripping out a large lock box from the trunk and attempting to open it. They also appeared to tear through a second vehicle and break into the locked container, which was already empty. One protester expressed disbelief, stating, 'It feels sort of surreal. It doesn't feel this should be the world we have to live in.' A woman showed WCCO what she claimed was inside: documents that appear to be from the U.S. Marshals Service. The crowd was eventually dispersed by Minneapolis police, who deployed tear gas and pepper balls. The SUVs, now covered in graffiti, were towed away. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the vandalism and the return of stolen property.
